PH Buffer 4 from Growth Technology in a 300 ml bottle designed for calibrating devices to measure pH. They can be used to check and calibrate your pH meter, and should be done regularly to ensure the accuracy of your pH meter. Simply pour a small amount to calibrate and then discard the used solution to avoid any contamination. It is recommended to use pH buffer 4 to calibrate your meter so that you have a two-point calibration, rather than just calibrating to one level. This only gives more reliability. Incorrect acidity/alkalinity levels can damage your plants and prevent them from feeding as they should. The two main pH levels have an impact on growth related to nutrient availability or the soil concentration of minerals toxic to plants. In very acidic soils, micronutrients such as aluminum and manganese may be more available and therefore more toxic to the plant. It also affects growth when the pH is low, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium are less available to the plant.
